Gratitude glasses

Here is an exercise to get you thinking about your perspective and how might you view your challenges differently.

Doris Day is quoted as saying “Gratitude is riches. Complaint is poverty.” Why not take a moment to test if this is true for you.

Exercise

What difference did you notice between the two?

Take a step back

Take some perspective

Cultivate a sense of gratitude for...

The positive circumstances in your life
Reflecting on the difficult circumstances of another can help you build an appreciation for the basic things you have in your life - a place to live, clean water, health, a peaceful environment.

Your relationships
Choose a person you are close to and really feel how they enhance your life.

Something positive in the challenge you are facing.

It may help you look at the world in a new light, or it may allow you to express your positive qualities - there is always a silver lining.

Use this sense of gratitude as a sense of conviction or resilience to return to your present challenge.

Do you feel better equipped to deal with the challenge now?

Go one step further… use it for a greater good.

Contribute to the Collective Positive Momentum
Offer the positive energy you have created - by practicing gratitude - to a greater good!

Whenever we think, speak or act with a positive intention, we generate positive energy in the world.
This energy can be directed towards something worthwhile.
