Courses by FDCW - Learning with Mind and Heart
Much of the learning we encounter in our lives is focused on knowledge and concepts.
Universal Education emphasis the importance of experiential learning - not just understanding an idea with the mind but experiencing how that idea or concept feels and manifests in our lives, at home and at work.
We have been developing courses since 2005 and our network of trained facilitators has offered these courses to thousands of people worldwide.
The 16 Guidelines for Life are a set of universal ethical values which have the potential to enrich our lives and relationships.
Over the past ten years no other scientific field has shaped our understanding of how we think and act more than neuroscience.
The art of Fulfilment was launched in 2016 and is inspired by the Dalai Lama’s Mind & Life Dialogues.
16 Guidelines for Life
Our flagship course since 2006
The 16 Guidelines for Life are a set of universal ethical values which have the potential to enrich our lives and relationships and help us find lasting inner strength and happiness.
The themes of the guidelines are explored in two courses but this is not where the learning ends. The courses offer practical tools which empower participants to take the guidelines into their daily life, work or community.
16G Facilitator Training (Level 3)
16G Level 1 and 2 are both required
The 16G Level 3 Facilitator Training is a deeper dive into the philosophical basis of Universal Education, the wisdom themes and the 16 Guidelines. Participants gain a better understanding of the 16G tools and valuable practice in facilitating the tools and the level 1 course to groups.
The live training sessions are designed in an interactive and highly experiential format which allows participants to practice facilitating in supportive peer groups.
The 16 Guidelines for Children & Teens
Exploring mindfulness in playful ways
This new and innovative 12-hour course based on the 16 Guidelines for Life aims to empower parents, teachers, educators and carers to explore mindfulness and ethical values with children and teenagers.
The course was developed for FDCW by Cecilia Buzón, a teacher and neuro-psychoeducator from Argentina. There are fifteen facilitators worldwide ready to deliver the course in English or Spanish.
Neuroscience
Understanding how we think & act
Over the past ten years no other scientific field has shaped our understanding of how we think and act more than neuroscience. Our new course “Discovering the Wisdom of Neuroscience” will take you on a journey from head to heart.
The Art of Fulfilment Series
Short courses - Big impact
The Art of Fulfilment is inspired by the Dalai Lama’s Mind & Life Dialogues. The programme was launched in 2016 with the aim to bridge the gap between analytical thinking and contemplative understanding by bringing together Buddhist teachings, scientific research, and the world’s psychological and philosophical insights.
Originally a 40-hour course, we have started offering shorter courses which enable participants to explore individual topics in-depth.
Building Balanced Empathy is a 6-hour course designed to explore empathy, vulnerability and emotional resilience. You will learn techniques empowering you to relate to yourself and others in healthy and more balanced ways.
Unlocking Your Potential explores how conditioning shapes our experience and how this may influence how we show up in our lives. You will learn tools empowering you to reflect more deeply on your potential to find fulfilment and meaning in life.
