ONLINE-Cultivating Resilience and Joy in the Eye of the Storm, a one day workshop - 31 st January 2021

  • Europe, America, Canada (map)

Cultivating Resilience and Joy in the Eye of the Storm is one day workshop that builds on the work presented by Paul Wielgus and Ros Boughtflower at the Big. Love festival in November 2020.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore a range of mindfulness practices that help cultivate resilience and joy along with capacities for inner agency and skilful action

These will be incorporated into Joanna Macy’s Spiral of Active Hope and provide participants with an experience and tools to enable them to more effectively respond to the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous times we are living in

Course facilitator: The course will be lead by Paul Wielgus

Paul Wielgus combines his Buddhist and secular mindfulness teaching with Eco-Dharma practices such as Joanna Macy’s ‘Work That Reconnect’; he is currently engaging in an enquiry into Buddhist attitudes to racial justice and related issues.

He is a Buddhist practitioner and teacher of over 25 years, has a Masters in Action Inquiry from Bath University, MBSR teacher trained, Work that Reconnects trained and studied Secular Dharma for two years at Bodhi College. He brings all these skills and experience to his work including a series of Mindfulness Based courses designed to help people, including activists survive and thrive in these chaotic and uncertain times.

However, for those that know him well , they would say that he can be forgetful, is not strong on attention to detail, is hopeless with dates, trips over things and often loses his keys, as well as spending far too much time pandering to the whims of his and partner Ros’ pet cat Oliver.

However his sense of humour and self deprecation allows him to get away with this!
