At Southland Hospice in Invercagill - the southernmost city in New Zealand and one of the southernmost cities in the world - Kala Dostal led a 16 Guidelines weekend workshop, attended by 22 people. Southland Hospice staff were joined by two hospice staff from ‘nearby’ Dunedin (200 km away!) and members of the general public, including one from Christchurch, making for an interesting mix of people participating in the course over the first September weekend.

“There was a lot of depth in the discussions and people were very responsive to the exercises. I received lots of feedback from people saying how enlightening the material was”, said Kala after the course.

Kala has also been approached by the Oncology Department at Southland Hospital, Invercagill, who have asked for ten copies of 16 Guidelines: The Basics, which will be used to support patients taking part in a discussion group.

16 Guidelines: Enriching, enlightening, humbling, amazing insight into the journey ahead.
