Gain the skills and confidence to take the 16 Guidelines for Life into your work and community

Why join a facilitator training?

The 16 Guidelines for Life are a powerfully simple way to bring wisdom and compassion into all aspects of our daily life. Level 1 and Level 2 of the programme introduce a range of tools which help to explore the inner experience of each guideline and discover their wisdom in new situations and circumstances.

The Level 3 Facilitator Training is a deeper dive into the philosophical basis of Universal Education, the wisdom themes and the 16 Guidelines. Participants gain a better understanding of the 16G tools and valuable practice in facilitating the tools and the level 1 course to groups.

The live training sessions are designed in an interactive and highly experiential format which allows participants to practice facilitating in supportive peer groups.

I found it to be a very good and empowering experience thanks to the wonderful group and the two, very patient and very kind and warmhearted teachers. The study zone with the various tasks had a tremendously beneficial effect and I learned a lot.
— Tal, Level 3 participant, December 2021

What will I be able to do after the training?

After the training, you will be able to offer the 16 Guidelines for Life Level 1 course, online or in-person, or confidently run regular 16G discussion groups. You will gain access to course materials and, most importantly, you will have the opportunity to join our global network of facilitators.

We also regularly offer forums with experienced speakers for our facilitators that spark engaging discussions and give the opportunity to get to meet and connect with others. There is already an archive of past facilitators forums available to dip into in your own time.

Our growing network of facilitators

The Level 3 Facilitator Training is not the end of your 16 Guidelines journey - it’s the beginning!

How is the training delivered?

Together with experienced trainers and senior facilitators Marian O’Dwyer and Wendy Ridley, we have developed a new online format for the training which, until now, was only available as in-person training. The 18-hour training blends weekend online sessions on Zoom with additional weekly self-study components available on our online Study Zone. You should expect to spend about two to three hours on the Study Zone activities per week.

What’s part of the training?

18 hours live training over four weekends plus weekly self-study units.

Some of the topics covered in this course include:

  • Working with intention and motivation

  • Effective group facilitation skills

  • History of Universal Education

  • Exploring the role of mindfulness

  • Facilitating a 16G Level 1 course

Our ourses are offered in local communities worldwide. You can join our facilitator network.
